Water heater bypass valves

Waterheater_ValvesOur Coachman Mirada came with factory installed water heater bypass valves. I was not able to fully test the water systems before we bought it as it was in the winter and the water systems had been winterized by the seller.

When we drove south into warmer weather we discovered one of the valves was physically broke and was leaking water faster than we could pump it in.  The temporary fix was to just cut the line to the water heater and put a valve in the line.

When we got to our destination,  I made a quick visit to the local hardware store and bought some of those push on fittings so I could at least get the water heater working again.

PEX_valve I always carry a push on valve, that way I can at least insert it into whatever is broke so I can use the rest of the system

The water heater on my Mirada is located under the cloths closet, on the passenger side,  just in front of the shower.

I pulled out both drawers to get at it.  If your not sure where yours is,  go outside and find the water heater. then go inside and look in cabinets or drawers.
