It was -17 degrees outside with the wind blowing 30-40 mph. We were boondocking in a parking lot because the Campground we were going to stay at, we couldn’t see the roads and were afraid of driving into a ditch.
At 4am, we were wakened by a chirp from the CO alarm. It was cold in the Mirada, about 50 deg.
I checked the furnace, the blower was running slowly and there was no heat. A check of the battery and it showed 8 volts. That’s why the CO alarm was doing an occasional chirp, low voltage. Continue reading “Furnace occasionally lights then kicks off”
We had just finished a road trip and were cleaning out the Mirada, when we went to open the door, it wouldn’t open!!
Traveling with our home Dishnet 322 receiver.
The original screen door latch on my Coachman Mirada was not user friendly.
I had a very difficult time seeing and setting the original mechanical thermostat, so the last time I passed through Menards, I looked at thermostats to replace it.
The Coachman Mirada has an interesting water system valve panel that pretty much allows you to do anything. The panel has four little pictographs that show the valve positions needed to perform several functions, but the manual doesn’t describe the connections and corresponding valve settings required to perform 5 common functions.
I’m like the way Japanese cars allow you select the A/C system with a separate button, regardless of the heater / AC mode selector switch. (They do not allow me to turn off the AC when in defrost mode, even though I would like to be able to do that)
